Susan Twine-Orticke is a Consultant who provides targeted support for educator effectiveness, leadership initiatives, student learning, school improvement, and school data reviews.

Susan has over twenty years of experience in education and counseling.  

 

Prior to transitioning to an Independent Life Coach and Consultant, she worked as a graduation coach, new teacher mentor and school counselor at the middle and high school levels.  Some of her successes included raising graduation rates by double digits and significantly increasing the number of students accepted to college and receiving scholarships in many of the most under-served areas in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Jefferson Parish.

She began her career as a certified business teacher, during that time she also served as computer teacher, COE coordinator, Lead Teacher and Entrepreneur Academy Coordinator/Director.  She was recognized for her ability to motivate the most troubled students.  As a testament of her dedication to her students and profession, she was featured in several editions of Who’s Who Among Teachers.

Susan believes everyone has purpose.  She feels it is her mission to help others unlock their true value and reach their full potential.

Susan is a certified business teacher and nationally certified counselor, (NCC), as well as a nationally certified school counselor, (NSCC).  She earned a master’s degree in counseling from The University of New Orleans.  She is also a certified EDGE entrepreneur instructor.  Susan enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with family.
