Gavin C. Lewis Sr, Founder & CEO
As CEO and Founder of the ISG Group Mr. Lewis has many responsibilities, among them are: establishing the long-term vision of the organization, providing guidance on organizational growth strategies, leading strategic planning, and development efforts.
Prior to founding The ISG Group, Mr. Lewis served as a Consultant for Xavier University of Louisiana Division of Business, and was the Director of Business Operations and Player Personnel for 1 Sports Agency. Mr. Lewis was also a successful school leader for multiple traditional public and charter schools in southeastern Louisiana. He is well versed in the non-profit/private sector having served as the Executive Assistant to an Executive Director, and himself being a successful Executive Director.
Mr. Lewis has a passion for equity and social justice which has led him to serve in a number of positions in the world of education, and business. He has served as a teacher, school administrator, central office administrator, and business consultant. Within those roles, he was responsible for the implementation of a variety of educator effectiveness, school improvement, professional development, and business development initiatives.
He began his career in education as a certified high school teacher, and Academy Leader in New Orleans, Louisiana delivering innovative instruction to low-performing students in order to improve their lives, while also developing teachers and leaders. Mr. Lewis then served as the Athletic Director for the Louisiana Recovery School District supporting the Superintendent by providing oversight and guidance for all state-run schools, site based athletic directors, and coaches. He then led a middle school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana out of Academically Unacceptable Statue (AUS) within one school year, and the school was recognized by the Louisiana Department of Education as a Top Gains School. This was one of three schools in which he led that received this statewide distinction.
Mr. Lewis is motivated every day by the belief that every student, and employee deserves high-quality leaders, and that leaders deserve the training, support, coaching, tools, and resources to succeed. Mr. Lewis is a certified teacher and earned his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Holy Cross College. He is also a Certified Reading Specialist, and is on track to earn his Doctorate in Organizational Development from Grand Canyon University. He is a Certified NFLPA Contract Advisor who has negotiated multi-million dollar contracts for NFL Players. Gavin enjoys reading, traveling with his family, going to sporting events with his son, swimming, dancing, and playing dress-up with his three daughters.
